New to selling travel
Pick where you book before you pick your tools.
PrimeOS is for advisors who already book travel for clients. If that isn’t you yet, good news: the first decision is the bigger one anyway. Most new advisors book through a host agency, a company that gives you supplier access, booking tools and support while you learn. They all sound great on the phone. Here’s what to ask so you can tell them apart.
Ask any host agency
- What training do I get, and who actually answers my questions?
- What does it cost to join, and what does it cost every month after?
- What do they handle for you, and what stays your job?
- Who holds the seller-of-travel registration and the E&O insurance?
- How long is the contract, and what happens if I leave?
Get the answers in writing. A host that won’t write it down has already answered.
Add up the real cost
Joining fees, monthly fees, required training, insurance, your own registration if your state asks for one, and the tools you’ll pay for yourself. Write the monthly total down before you sign anything.
What a good mentor looks like
- They book travel themselves, recently and often.
- They explain costs plainly, before you ask twice.
- They never push you to recruit anyone.
